There's something truly magical about capturing landscape images on film. It is a meditative process—setting up the camera on a tripod, waiting for the light, and getting the composition and color just right. Most of the images here, captured during the 1980s and 1990s, were made with a Mamiya RZ 67, a medium format camera with superb optics, capable of extreme enlargement up to 40" x 50" with no loss of quality. Images from the vivid Landscapes on Film portfolio are found in many private art collections, including the David and Lucile Packard Foundation in Palo Alto, California.
